ABOUT DR. MICHAEL ULLMAN

Dr. Michael Ullman earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry and medical degree at the University of Florida, graduating with honors. Upon graduation, Dr. Ullman was a member of the National Honor Medical Society (Alpha Omega Alpha) and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate.

After an internship in medicine, Dr. Michael Ullman completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, D.C. Prior to beginning his practice in Pensacola, Dr. Ullman completed a fellowship in Corneal and External Diseases at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. This additional training provided Dr. Ullman with extensive surgical experience in refractive laser procedures, corneal transplants and microincision cataract surgery.
Dr. Michael Ullman has a strong interest in ophthalmic research and the utilization of technology to improve patient care. He has authored or co-authorized over fifteen articles in the medical literature. Dr. Ullman invented a smartphone program to image the retina which has been downloaded by over 7000 ophthalmologists worldwide. In addition, Dr. Michael Ullman created a calculator to help identify potential tumors in the back of the eye.
